The Central University of Punjab, Bathinda, is a newly established academic institution. The President of India gave assent under the Central Universities Act 2009 on March 20 2009. The new campus is being built on a 500-acre land, far from pollution and city noise. The whole building complex will be environmentally friendly with optimal utilization of sun energy and many trees and plants around.
